Flower Essences

I heard that I can take 10 drops from a bottle of a Perelandra flower essence, add it to a solution bottle of water and preservative, then use it just like your essences. This way I can extend the amount of flower essences and use them longer. Is that true?
No, we do not recommend diluting the Perelandra essences further in order to extend them. The form in which we sell them is referred to as a "concentrate." This is 10 drops of mother tincture added to a 1/2-ounce brandy/water solution. What you have heard applies to "stock bottles" of essences. In that form, you are working with the mother tincture. Stock bottles are generally more expensive than concentrates. If you attempt to further dilute the Perelandra essences, you will be compromising their quality and effectiveness. Because you only need to take one drop of essence concentrate at a time, they should last for quite a while.
Diluting the essences in order to extend them is not the same as making an essence solution or dosage bottle (a combination of essences to be taken over a specific period of time). For dosage bottles, you will need to take a dropperful of the solution rather than one drop. Refer to the book, Flower Essences, pages 104-108 for information on making essence solutions.

If the essence dropper touches a tooth, lip or finger and is then put back in the bottle, is the essence contaminated and does it need to be replaced? Is there something I can do so it can be used, like the Restabilizing Process?
It is contaminated and needs to be replaced. The Restabilizing Process is only for use when essences have been exposed to airport x-ray or similar security devices.

I'm testing for a lot of essences. Is that normal?
It is difficult to define a "normal" number of essences for which a person might test positive. Many factors are involved. Your essence needs depend on the balance of your health on all levels (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) and the conditions and issues that impact that balance. That is different for each person and can change from day to day. Often, when a person first begins to use essences, he tends to test positive for many or all of them each day. It is common for this to be the pattern for the first three months of regular essence use. The body is responding to the opportunity to have the support provided by the essences. If you continue to use essences on a regular basis, you will probably find your essence needs will eventually decrease and level off. Essence needs can also fluctuate with different types of testing procedures (basic, telegraph, peeling . . . )
Keeping records will help you get a sense of what your personal patterns are in your essence testing. You will be able to notice when there is a change in pattern and use the information from your testing to learn about your health and how you respond to things that challenge the balance of your system.

What happens if I take the wrong essences? Can I take too many essences?
Trust your testing. If you test incorrectly and take an essence that is not needed, your body will automatically eliminate it. The essences do not contain anything harmful. You can combine and take whatever number of essences test positive. You only need to take one drop of each essence if you are taking them in the concentrate form.

To make sure I get the essences I need without having to go through all that testing could I combine all of the essences into one solution, take some every day and let my body sort it out?
That would not be an effective or efficient way to use essences. Although your body will eliminate the essences that are not needed, it is required to work to do that. The idea is to take essences in order to support the body, not to make it work harder. Also, a large part of the benefit of essence testing is increasing your awareness of your health patterns and needs. By tracking the essences for which you test positive and getting feedback through essence definitions, you can learn what causes your system to go off balance and how you tend to respond to issues that challenge your balance. As you gain awareness about your health through flower essence testing, you can begin to make more conscious decisions to change personal patterns and responses and become more responsible for maintenance of your health and well-being.

If I am doing a basic flower essence test daily, do I need to test for dosage every time or will I be covering dosage needs by testing every day?
You do not need to test for dosage on a basic test if you will be doing another basic flower essence test the same or next day.
