If you are interested in getting Health Care/Health Insurance Reform passed and you support the President's plan, we have all been given the next step. Even if you have written your Senators and Representative previously, it's important to contact them again and to contact them now. If you don't want to take time to write your own letter, here's a link for the easiest and most efficient way to send a message of support:

Once you hit "Sign the Letter" on this page it confirms that your message has been sent. You'll also see boxes for donating but that's not why I'm sending you this link. I just want to give you a convenient and quick way to show your support for Health Care Reform.
If you would prefer to write your own letters to your Senators and Representative
This link gives you the email addresses for Senators:

This is for those of you who want to see a Health Care / Health Insurance Reform bill passed by Congress in the fall. The opponents to this move (i.e., insurance companies and lobbyists, etc.) are busy these next few weeks disrupting all the town hall meetings that Democrats are holding to explain health care. The opponents do not want this discussion to occur. I've been waiting for the right timing to contact you folks and urge you into action. NOW IS THAT TIME. It is vital that those of us who support health care / health insurance reform make ourselves known to each of our senators and representatives who serve us. President Obama is now asking us to do the following:
- We are being urged to flood our senators and representatives with phone calls. Tell them you are phoning in support of health care reform. If you want a good public option included, be sure to tell them this also. After you click on this link, type in your zip code and it will give you the phone numbers for your senators and representative.

- Once you have made these phone calls, it's important to follow up by registering your calls with Organizing for America. They want to make sure your efforts are counted and don't get lost. You'll use the same link to register your calls. You'll just need to enter your zip code again.

- For those of you who are technology nuts, you are being urged to tweet your senators and representative.

- Email both of your senators and your representative in Congress. Tell them you want a bill passed this fall and include any personal stories you might have about how you have struggled with getting the right health care. Make sure your emails are not boilerplate, but are personal and written by you. They don't pay any attention to boilerplates.

This link takes you to the form for sending an email directly to your representative:

- Write letters to the editor. This link makes it easy.

You can easily link to all the information you need to take action by phone, twitter, email, facebook, and more. The immediate and best initial options for action, we are being told, is phoning and tweeting congress. You'll see on the rest of this linked page information for taking further action, such as writing letters to the editor. This site couldn't make taking action easier. For example under letters to editors, you just type in your zip code and you get a checklist of all of your local and regional papers. You check the ones you want to contact and click next. Then you type your letter in, review it and hit send. It automatically goes to all the papers you checked. This is a no-brainer! It's awesome. Every action item on this site is this easy to do. No excuses folks!
I'm calling you to action now whether you have health insurance or not. The new push for health care reform benefits everyone. And if you already have health insurance that you love, the big change you will experience will be lower premium payments. (We just have to make sure a strong public option is included in the final bill.) You'll also have more security with your plan because insurance companies will no longer be able to discontinue coverage if you should get sick or if you get too sick for them. Oh, and by the way . . . in case you were worried about this, the health reform plan does not include death squads visiting your mothers or grandmothers or you, if you are over 60. Obama really isn't planning to take you out as a cost-cutting measure. If there are any elderly people around you, make sure they haven't had the bejeezus scared out of them by this fine tactic unleashed by the opponents.
So let's all get out there and make sure our senators and representatives know we want strong health care / health insurance reform now. And show them that those corporate-sponsored protesters who are shouting, threatening (honest to god, some democratic representatives are receiving death threats), hanging representatives in effigy (yeah, this is being done too), and telling speakers at the town hall to keep their crappy socialist government hands off their Medicare (nevermind Medicare is already a government-run program that they obviously like a lot) are in a minority and are not part of the 70+% who want reform. As the senators and representatives who support health care reform deal with the fake firestorms that are being unleashed against them, it's important to let them know that we are pro-reform and we way outnumber the noisy ones.
Fired up and I'm sure we're ready to go,
Machaelle Wright
Machaelle responds to "Call to Action" complaints.
We have had many positive responses from my "Call to Action" email and I'm truly grateful! including people who were happy to have the information for taking action. However, we also had a few complaints, and I would like to take a moment to respond.
In my last email I wrote in the very first sentence: "This is for those of you who want to see a Health Care / Health Insurance Reform bill passed by Congress in the fall." I assumed that if you were someone who did not wish for reform in health care, you would know that this email is not for you and not read any further. I then would not be wasting your time.
Some of you wrote about "specifics" that are in the current bill. Remember, the bill is going through the congressional sausage-making process and isn't anywhere near being finalized. Things are in there that will be tossed out. Things are not currently present that will be put in. Hearing from us helps Congress know what we the people want, if anything.
The President has just three main principles he wishes for this reform:
- Reduce costs Rising health care costs are crushing the budgets of governments, businesses, individuals, and families, and they must be brought under control
- Guarantee choice Every American must have the freedom to choose their plan and doctor, including the choice of a public insurance option
- Ensure quality care for all All Americans must have quality and affordable health care.
The bill that will be coming out of Congress is to address these three areas. You'll note that we gave links in the "Call to Action" email to each senator and representative republican, democrat and independent. If you don't like what they are proposing, tell them. Even if you want them to stand up against any reform, tell them. It's very important that they hear from us. I suggest you send the concerns and complaints about health care reform you sent to me on to your senators and representative. However, if you actually wish to be taken seriously by these people, I suggest you not use the following words: fascism, communism, socialism, Nazi, torturer, the Holocaust and Hitler. These words were in some of your emails to me and they are being recklessly used in some media. They are not being used accurately and they diminish any actual idea or input you might be trying to add. And they are especially insulting and hurtful to survivors of the real Holocaust.
Perelandra is a company that focuses its research on health, the environment, co-creative science as applied to everyday life AND GOVERNMENT. Whenever something in the world is related to what we do, I have always made it a point to pass along that information. I don't view health as a political issue and I don't view Perelandra as some kind of island. It is a research center and company that has something to offer the global picture as it exists in reality. For example, for over five years I have sent out information and updates supplied by the federal government, state governments, scientists and universities on the land-applied sewage sludge scandal that is still going on. For the past four years I have been trying to keep everyone informed about the impending pandemic by sending out frequent updates and preparation information from the WHO, the CDC, the U.N. and our government. In short, I expand my focus on health beyond Perelandra's borders because the overall health picture is global.
But here's another important point: Over the last ten years I've written two books on government, it's shift from the Piscean dynamics to the new Aquarian dynamics and Perelandra's and my work in this area. When it comes to politics and government, I will continue to weigh in as a researcher, as the head of this company and as a private person. My two books amount to 1010 pages total. I know it's not easy reading all those pages, but the fact that someone chooses to not read them doesn't make those two books or my work in this area magically disappear. I've put much time and effort into helping all of us understand what it takes to make this critical government shift. Some of you like my health work and not my environmental work. Some of you like my soil-less garden work and not my health work. Some of you like only our t-shirts and tote bags. And then there is the government/military work that I've put twenty-seven years into that some of you really like. Here's what I'm getting to: I have earned the right through my work to address a number of areas. Your job is to plug into those areas that you care about.
In response to some of your complaints, we are adding a fourth EarthSave option: Health Watch D. If you choose this option, you will receive notices about Perelandra product specials and Perelandra-related health information only. With Health Watch D, you will not receive any "expanded" health information or government information. You would not receive any outside information that is relevant to my work, such as; pandemic information from the CDC (it's a government agency), the WHO, and any U.S. government alerts and information regarding any pertinent health or environmental issues. If you wish to change your current EarthSave/Health Watch status, just give us a call or send us an email and we will be happy to make this change for you. If you wish to be taken off our email list altogether, we'll be happy to assist you with this as well.
Sincerely,
Machaelle Wright
P.S. Some of you included some pretty off-base and just plain inaccurate information about the currently proposed health care bill that you might wish to correct. Try this non-partisan, non-political link for more accurate information on the various points and concerns you have raised.
