Updated Steps for the MAP/Calibration Process

This update applies to the instructon in the second edition of MAP. The new third edition of MAP includes this updated information and refined process steps.

In the July 1999 MAP Workshop (available on DVD), Machaelle presented new information on the MAP/Calibration Process. This is the updated information only. It is not a complete description of the Calibration Process. To use the regular Calibration Process, you don't have to be in a MAP session. The regular Calibration Process is an independent process, and you can use it easily on its own. However, you do need to use the Perelandra Essences. A full description of the process, how it works and the steps are in Chapter 5 of MAP and in the Perelandra Paper: Calibration Process: A Co-Creative Process from Nature for Mental and Emotional Balancing. The Calibration Process is a remarkable process and has to be experienced to be believed

In regular MAP sessions, the White Brotherhood medical team is working directly with you, and they take the primary lead in the session. Nature is supporting you, assisting your team and stabilizing the team's work. The Calibration Process is used at times when the healing process is best served by nature taking the lead and having the White Brotherhood team in a secondary/support role to support and assist nature's work.

There may be times when you'd wish to combine the Calibration Process with MAP. The following steps for a combined MAP/Calibration session are different from what Machaelle wrote in the book MAP. This is new and updated information from Machaelle that is now recommended when working with MAP. This additional information is in the DVD, MAP — The Workshop.

You can initiate and set up to do a Calibration Process within a MAP session or your MAP team may suggest you set one up after the session has begun. If you know you're stuck on something, you can go into a MAP session and immediately tell your team you feel stuck and that you would like to set up for MAP/Calibration. Or, you may already be in a regular MAP session when you realize that the issue you are addressing may require a Calibration. Let's say you're in a MAP session and all of a sudden you hear your team say or you get the idea that they want you to do a MAP/Calibration. Ask, "Do you want me to do a MAP/Calibration?" Test, using kinesiology. If you get a "yes," set up for a MAP/Calibration by saying, "I'd like to set up for a MAP/Calibration, and I'd like to bring Pan forward." The team will immediately shift, and the White Brotherhood medical team will go into secondary position while Pan comes forward to the primary position. You may feel your coning shift. You are now in the Calibration, and you just start talking about the mental and emotional elements of the issue you were discussing or having a problem with. Follow the directions for explaining the problem that are given in the book MAP. You talk for just 30 minutes. Or, you talk for 10 minutes and just leave the Calibration open for the remaining 20 minutes. The Calibration takes 30 minutes total and that's all it takes. At the end of the 30 minutes, come out of the Calibration by saying, "I'd like to close the Calibration, and I'd like to shift Pan back into MAP." Now the White Brotherhood team shifts forward and nature (Pan) moves to the secondary position, in the support role.

When you combine MAP/Calibration, you are now required to devote 70 minutes to the process. The MAP session is 40 minutes total, and the Calibration takes 30 minutes. If you were 10 minutes into your MAP session when you started the Calibration, when you come out of the Calibration you now have 30 more minutes to do in your regular MAP session. Or, if you are 15 minutes into a MAP session when you switch to Calibration, you spend 30 minutes in the Calibration and are then required to spend 25 minutes in the regular MAP session to complete the process. The MAP session can be split with the combined times totaling 40 minutes, but the Calibration cannot.

You or your team can call for a Calibration anytime in the MAP session, so be sure you have an easy-to-read clock with you when you do a MAP session. If a Calibration is needed, note the time you spent in MAP before the Calibration, so you can figure how much time you need to continue the MAP session following the Calibration.

Again, in Calibration, nature is doing the work, and your team is observing and supporting. There is an advantage to doing the Calibration in MAP and to adding MAP session time after the Calibration. When you give your team this additional time, any follow-up that is required as a result of nature's work can be done by your team.

With this refinement, Machaelle no longer recommends that you automatically set up the Calibration Process within a MAP session every time you work with MAP, as she mentions in the book. Sometimes it is best to do just a regular MAP session and sometimes a combined MAP/Calibration is called for. When you do add the Calibration Process, the teams now prefer this new set-up (30-minute Calibration plus 40-minute MAP session). This keeps the process more precise and provides additional support to you. If you are not sure when to add the Calibration Process and when to do a regular MAP session, just tell your team the issue you wish to address, ask about Calibration and test to find out if it is needed, using kinesiology.

Here are the updated steps for combining the Calibration Process with MAP (these steps replace the steps given on page 141 of MAP):

1. Open the MAP session as usual, activating the MAP coning. Test yourself for essences.

2. State: "I'd like to set up for a MAP/Calibration, and I'd like to shift Pan forward."

Wait five to ten seconds for this connection. Pan, who is already a part of the MAP coning, will shift from that coning dynamic and move into a connection with you that is appropriate for the Calibration Process. You may or may not feel this shift. It is unimportant either way. If you use kinesiology, you can verify that Pan has shifted forward for the Calibration.

3. Now, explain to both your team and Pan what your difficulty is. You will be working together in a three-level team: you, Pan and the White Brotherhood Medical Team. Continue through the session as you normally would. Allow the Calibration to last a full 30 minutes.

4. At the end of the 30 minutes, end the Calibration Process and shift back to the regular MAP coning. To do this, state: "I'd like to close the Calibration, and I'd like to shift Pan back into MAP."

5. Continue by completing your regular MAP session. If you started the Calibration Process at the very beginning of your session, you will now need to do a 40-minute MAP session. If you were any number of minutes into the MAP session when you switched to the Calibration Process, you need to complete the MAP session by spending the time necessary to give your MAP team a total of 40 minutes work with you, in addition to the 30 minutes spent in the Calibration.

6. When the session is complete, thank everyone and close down the coning as usual. You will disconnect from:
       Your higher self
       Your White Brotherhood medical team
       Pan
       Overlighting Deva of Healing

7. Test yourself for essences and dosage. (In MAP/Calibration, you test after the coning is closed. In a regular Calibration Process, you test just before closing the coning.) This solution will stabilize both the MAP work and the Calibration. Spend a few minutes quietly before going on with your day.

As explained in MAP, the Calibration Process is used to address mental and emotional issues, anytime you feel stuck on an issue, feel like you are going in circles, not getting anywhere and are spinning your wheels. However, if you've got a chronic illness that you cannot get out of, we recommend that you set up for MAP/Calibration or the Calibration Process on its own. You can bet your bottom dollar if you've got an illness, there is an emotional/mental aspect to it. And it's fair to say that every malady, every issue has as part of its structure emotional and mental elements that must be processed for full recovery. For any chronic ailment, ask your team if you need to do a MAP/Calibration or consider doing a simple Calibration Process around this issue. The key to getting out of a chronic problem could be moving through the mental/emotional part of it. You may be staying in the physical problem because there is a problem with the mental/emotional processing, and something has to be either repaired, changed or altered. The Calibration and MAP/Calibration work with the emotional/mental components of any problem. So, anytime you are feeling stuck — physically, mentally or emotionally, consider using these processes.
