Perelandra Health Watch 2
WEST NILE VIRUS
Strengthening to Prevent Infection from the West Nile Virus

by Machaelle Wright
Perelandra, Center for Nature Research

† † †

The West Nile virus is now moving very quickly through the United States and has spread to 31 states in just three years. This week, a serious outbreak has been reported in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The Louisiana governor has declared a state of emergency. As of 8/7/02, over 90 people in these three southern states alone have been confirmed to have the disease caused by the virus and five people have died. According to the CDC, the virus is not a health problem for most of us should it come in contact with us. A strong body can keep the virus in check and we experience no symptoms. However, occasionally a person will become infected and will develop fever, headaches, rashes, body aches and swollen lymph nodes. In fewer than 1 percent of those infected, the virus causes an inflammation of the brain (encephalitis), producing confusion and sometimes coma and death. So far, most deaths have occurred among the elderly and those with compromised immune systems. At the present time, there is no medicine to treat the West Nile virus.

The chances that we in the United States will not come into contact with the West Nile virus either in the environment around us or within our body is slim. This virus isn't going to go away.

The key to prevention of infection is to maintain a strong immune system. This especially includes maintaining a strong immune system if you should live or work in an area that has been or is scheduled to be sprayed for mosquitoes. No matter what the officials say, exposure to these sprays is not healthy for any life—human, animal or beneficial insects.

If you spend a lot of time outdoors, live in areas with a lot of mosquitoes and have concerns about the West Nile virus and the spraying, here are the Perelandra products and processes to help you navigate these problems.

NOTE: The regimens listed in the links below should be followed throughout the entire mosquito season in your area. Plan to resume the regimens once next year's mosquito season begins.

I have broken the information into three areas, with Green, Maroon and Blue Level tools within each.

GREEN LEVEL: (The Perelandra tools with no learning curve required.)

MBP Solutions: Take 2x daily A.M. & P.M., as per directions in the brochure)

  • Immune & Lymphatic
  • Cardiovascular
  • Endocrine: Although the endocrine system is not a part of the immune system, I am including the MBP Endocrine System Balancing Solution for exposure to the West Nile virus on the advice of nature.
  • Respiratory: Add this MBP Solution to the above 3 solutions if your area has been or is scheduled to be sprayed. Three years ago, when the West Nile virus first hit the U.S., New York City was sprayed with an insecticide in an attempt to reduce the number of mosquitoes. Up to a year later, many people in the city were still suffering from respiratory problems caused by the spraying.

Eat Right 4 Your Type by Peter D'Adamo: For general body strengthening. The diet eliminates the foods that we should avoid according to our blood type if we wish to maintain the strength needed to prevent West Nile virus infections.

Green Level Suggestions from the Louisiana Public Information Campaign:

  1. Make your house bug proof by repairing screens and patching holes.
  2. Get rid of water in cans and other breeding sites near you.
  3. Cover up when going outside.

For your companion animals: To maintain a strong, healthy, well-functioning immune system with animals, just give them a dose of the following MBP Solutions each day as outlined in the MBP Solution brochures:

  • Immune
  • Lymphatic
  • Endocrine
  • Respiratory: Include this Solution if your animals are exposed to spraying.

ETS Plus: Take 2 doses of ETS Plus within the first 20 minutes after hearing or reading bad news about the spread of the virus in your area and/or when you hear or read that someone in your area has been infected or has died. If your children overhear you discussing the West Nile virus problem, be sure you give them a dose of ETS Plus right away—even if they appear calm about what they've overheard. The ETS Plus stabilizes the electrical system from the weakening effects of shock/trauma brought on when hearing distressing news. This strengthening will better enable you and your family to maintain the balance needed for prevention of infection when you are in the midst of an epidemic. Remember to take ETS Plus when dealing with the stresses brought on by any spraying programs in your area, both scheduling stresses (dealing with 'impending doom' and the actual spraying).

MAROON LEVEL: (Tools with a gentle learning curve.)

MBP Solutions: Take 2x daily (A.M.

Essences—Basic Testing: Basic test daily. No specific focus necessary.

You will not need to make a solution since the testing is daily. However, if this is more than you can handle, do a basic test once a week and make a solution that can be taken daily for the next week. You'll need to make a new solution each week and test for how many times daily you are to take it. Once a new test with a new solution has been done, you do not need to continue taking the solution from the test that was done the previous week.

Microbial Balancing Program—Phase 1: 1x weekly. Focus: West Nile virus prevention.

When setting up to do the simple Phase 1 Testing in the MBP, you can 'assign' a specific focus that will fine-tune Phase 1 results as they apply to that focus. This Phase 1 focus is 'West Nile virus prevention.'

ENVIRONMENT: For home/apartment plus all land that you own

Perelandra Garden Workbook II Processes:
  • Energy Cleansing Process: 1x weekly. Focus: General cleansing and balancing.
  • Balancing/Stabilizing Process: 1x every 3-4 weeks. Focus: for incorporating and maintaining the West Nile virus in your environment "in balance."
NOTE: We include the virus because it is inevitable that the virus will become a part of your environment, if it hasn't already. The virus can't and won't be excluded. So the focus is to set up your environment with nature so that it enfolds the virus in balance. Often, this will include a natural check-and-balance system that will make it impossible for the virus to get out of control or overrun your environment.

Microbial Balancing Program for environmental balancing (see the MBP Manual): 1x every 3-4 weeks. Focus: General microbial balancing.

Again, the focus of this work is on balance—balancing your environment's microbial population so that the West Nile virus can move in and through without gaining a foothold and taking over.

† † †

BLUE LEVEL: (Refinement learning curve for veterans of the Perelandra programs and products.)

MBP Solutions: Take 2x daily (A.M.

MAP: 1x every 2 weeks. Focus: 'West Nile virus prevention' session.

Have a 'West Nile virus prevention' session every two weeks. Announce to your team that this is a 'West Nile virus prevention' session. They will work exclusively on any needed adjustments in this area of your health. At the same time, you will talk to them about any mosquito bites you have that are unusual looking or feeling. If you have been outdoors and have a bunch of new mosquito bites as a result, talk about this with your team as well. Also let them know any news about West Nile virus developments in your area, including news of infections, outbreaks and scheduled spraying. Be sure to talk about any fears or stresses you might have around this issue for yourself and your family.

Essences—Regular telegraph testing: 1x every 3 weeks. Focus: 'West Nile virus prevention.'

For a regular telegraph test, focus the test on 'West Nile virus prevention.' Plan to do this testing every three weeks. Be sure to make a solution, should you need any of the essences more than one time. Once you do the next telegraph test in three weeks, you will no longer need to take the previous solution. Any solutions you get with the new test will take the place of the old solutions.

Essences Telegraph Test Checklist: 1x every 3 weeks. Focus: 'West Nile virus prevention.'

Using the Essences Telegraph Test Checklist, set up for testing the following focus: 'West Nile virus prevention.' Then follow the Essences Telegraph Test Checklist Process for each area that tests positive. You may do this Checklist in lieu of regular telegraph testing.

Microbial Balancing Program—Telegraph Testing Process: 1x every 3 weeks. Focus: 'West Nile virus prevention.'

Do this process using the MBP Telegraph Testing Checklist and setting up the focus as follows: 'West Nile virus prevention.' Follow the MBP Telegraph Testing Process as described in the Perelandra Paper: "Perelandra Microbial Balancing Program—Telegraph Testing. Plan to do this testing once every three weeks.

NOTE: If you prefer, you may do the MBP Phase 1 test as it is set up for the Maroon Level in place of the MBP Telegraph Testing Process. It is important to include one of these MBP testing processes when dealing with the West Nile virus.

ENVIRONMENT: For home/apartment plus all land that you own

Troubleshooting Process: 1x every 4 weeks. Focus: The inclusion of the West Nile virus into your environment "in balance."

By including the Troubleshooting Process (see Perelandra Garden Workbook II) on the Blue Level, you will be refining your environmental work. The Troubleshooting Process includes the Energy Cleansing Process and the Balancing/Stabilizing Process along with several other important environmental process. You will be setting up the Troubleshooting Process with the following focus: 'Inclusion of the West Nile virus into your environment in balance.' Then do just the processes that test positive. NOTE: We include the virus because it is inevitable that the virus will become a part of your environment, if it hasn't already. The virus can't and won?t be excluded. So the focus is to set up your environment with nature so that it enfolds the virus in balance. Often, this will include a natural check-and-balance system that will make it impossible for the virus to get out of control or overrun your environment.

NOTE FROM MACHAELLE WRIGHT: If you become infected with the West Nile Virus, please refer to Health Watch 5B: Infectious Diseases.
