Laci's Question: Hi Machaelle, By any chance will there be another virtual tour day and forum in September...?!? Thank you...
Machaelle's Answer: Yes, there will — September 12th!
What a perfect question to end on.
See you next month!
68.
Faith's Question: hope its not too late. My cat has been diagnosed with a large lump in his liver. how can I help him?
Machaelle's Answer: Of course, continue with the vet process. We can offer a number of things to be used in conjunction with the vet:
MBP Solutions (Immune, Lymphatic, Digestive)
Nature Healing Coning for Animals
• Flower essences
Those are the easier tools to begin with.
67.
Mary's Question: I've heard the CDC is advocating that everyone be forced to get vaccinated against this flu pandemic. Is this true?
Machaelle's Answer: The CDC is advocating that everyone be vaccinated against this years seasonal flu, not the pandemic flu. As of now there is no pandemic vaccine available but they are working frantically to get one. When they can offer vaccine, they won't have enough for everybody. The CDC and World Health Organization have listed the priority of who gets the vaccines first. Check out their web sites for the list.

Eileen's Question: Does nature have any comment about our soils perhaps getting continuously depleted because our copiously produced 'Humanure' cannot be returned to it at this point? Certainly, as long as our sewer systems mix human waste, industrial chemicals and all the pharmaceuticals so many Americans consume, it's a bad idea to be returning 'biosolids' to our soils. Still, as a wannabe gardener, I worry about the impact on the earth of us constantly drilling, mining, overfishing, etc. for our soil amendments.
Machaelle's Answer: We wrote extensively on the perils of land-applied "biosolids." For that information, go to Health Watch 3A on Sewage Sludge/'Biosolids'.
65.
Lenise's Question: My cat just had a seizure five minutes ago. Immediately after the seizure I began giving him the ETS+ for Animals, and will continue to give the ETS+ every 5 minutes for a total of 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes, can I then give him his Immune, Lymphatic and Nervous MBPs or do I still wait until tonight to give him his MBPs? Again, Thank you for these forums.. they are so very helpful.
Machaelle's Answer: Okay Lenise, I hope your cat is still alive. This answer is coming in a little late. Do you know about the Nature Healing Coning for Animals? It's okay to give the cat MBPs in its regular daily timing, in the evening. But congratulations — you responded well to your cat's seizure with the ETS+!
64.
David's Question: Hi Machealle, Could you tell me where the Avian flu land clearing process is described? Thank you so much for everything!
Machaelle's Answer: Darn, Laurie's not around to help answer this one! I just found out that we've taken the Avian Flu land clearing process off the web temporarily so that we can reword to include swine flu. As soon as we re-post it, we'll send an EarthSave announcement. Be sure you're signed up for EarthSave so you'll get that message.
63.
Laurie's Question: Just a comment for another Lori. :-) When I was having problems with fleas and not wanting to use toxic flea products on my dog, I called Beth and she said Cedarwood worked for her pets - and it has been amazing for my dog (and now some neighbor pets). I used to be like you and was the target for all insects to bite but after I changed my diet and ate less sugar (I eat Blood Type Diet foods now), I stopped getting eaten alive. Also, I tried the Cedarwood drops on my feet this summer when by the lake and had gotten a flea bite for first time in long time - and it seemed to work on me, too. However, I know you need to be careful with essential oils - check with MAP? Good luck!
Machaelle's Answer: What a nice answer! Thank you for taking over Laurie. Now, will you take the next question?!
62.
Patti Campbell's Question: No question, just a BIG thank you...Machaelle, you have changed my life...and those around me!
Machaelle's Answer: A big you're welcome! Glad we could help.
61.
mariko's Question: Are there any other co-creative research gardens in the US? And if so, where are they? I have worked with one plant for 12 years. It found me shortly after I read Behaving. We plan to co-create on a flower essence and a field essence (I have an intensive planting as well as trees). The menstrum suggested was honey and honey mead. Have you ever used honey? The reasoning when I asked for clarity was that the nectar in flowers is the same substance and would be very compatible.
Machaelle's Answer: We don't keep records of the different co-creative gardens in the U.S. or anywhere.
I use vinegar and brandy as a preservative for my essences because that's what nature told me to use.
60.
Marilyn's Question: Hi Machaelle, (in reference to Otis' question) Could you share any information with us about how you have developed and refined your listening skills?
Machaelle's Answer: I stop talking. And I focus on the person who's talking. The end result is, I hear.
59.
Philip's Question: Machaelle Thank you for doing these sessions. I have been struggling with the kinesiology testing for some time. I am now determined to go at a slow pace and to learn this skill. I find that I at times have an outcome I would prefer, then I question that I have in a sense thrown the test. I am thinking of creating a blind test by writing the questions on paper, then asking the yes no without knowing what on paper I am asking Any suggestions? Do you think that would work?
Machaelle's Answer: No. Stop double-checking yourself and only ask questions that you're willing to act on. The result of the action will tell you if the answer is correct. What you're proposing guarantees that this will all stay in your head.
58.
barbara's Question: I put my whole life into a Gut Garden as you suggested. I had always wanted to share wonder folk songs from the British Isles that I was raised with. My housemate is a pianist and vocal coach who joined me. Everything fell into place and I have three more recitals. I was asked by my agency to do a series of Cultural Diversity Seminars for the Nurses and Social workers so I got to organize and present on this great topic of world religions. Thank you so much my life is so exciting so much fun.
Machaelle's Answer: Congratulations.
57.
Debi's Question: If someone is gluten intolerant, should they be using the essences preserved in vinegar instead of the ones in brandy? My husband and I have been taking the FSBS+ Pandemic protocol essences 2 X a day for the past few months. My husband is gluten intolerant and told me that he felt congestion in his lungs with the essences in brandy. I recalled that brandy is a grain alcohol. I suggested he try the essences in vinegar and would like confirmation that the vinegar is ok for those gluten intolerant.
Machaelle's Answer: Our brandy is not grain alcohol. It's made from fruit, not grain. We would suggest staying away from the distilled white vinegar because that's made from corn. Despite the corn, it's certainly worth trying the vinegar to see if it solves the problem.
56.
Nancy Johanson's Question: We are thankful to Nature for great veggie gardens this summer. What can we do here in Cincinnati about all the chiggers. Every weeding or harvesting has meant so far either using tons of bugspray or getting many chigger bites. It's discouraging, though we love gardening. Thanks, NAncy
Machaelle's Answer: The answer I gave for number 5 are my suggestions for chiggers. Other than that, pray for a frost.
55.
Peg's Question: I have been having rather remarkable expansion processes for the past year or so, only to discover you and your books a couple months ago (thank you thank you thank you). I am thriving on all levels and want guidance and clarity on how to steward the energy and insights flooding in. Would essences/conings help?
Machaelle's Answer: Yes, they sure would.
54.
Joyce's Question: In late 2008 I started taking ETS Plus, gradually adding Flu Balancing, FSBS Plus, EOP, Immune and Lymphatic. I have put the dropper in my mouth touching my teeth and my tongue. Have I contaminated all of my bottles? Should I be taking these drops from a spoon? Thank you.
Machaelle's Answer: Yes, if you touch a dropper to anything including your mouth or tongue, and then put the dropper back in the bottle, that bottle is contaminated.
If you use a spoon, you must wash the spoon before taking each dose.
53.
Anneli's Question: Hello Machaelle, thank you for having this question forum! Recently I had a MAP-coning open (have been on this road for almost a year now), and asked why I had such problems to actually make my intentions "go real". The answer was a door shown for my inner eye, and I was asked if I wanted to go through this door. After making sure I would have my kids on the other side safely with me (and some other hesitations), I went through. The place I got to, it had me thinking "I can let my sons play freely here, I don't have to look after them all the time and worry!" It was green and lushy, but I could also feel the presence of people quite much living in balance with nature (caring a lot about it). I call this place Edgy now, and I wonder if this could be an "edge/piece" of the Cottage level? "Being" there made me understand what our world and lives could be like here on Earth level, and it gave me an inner guideline to recognize and follow when balancing my environment. Thank you.
Machaelle's Answer: This was your own personal experience, not the Cottage level. In your next MAP session, describe to them what you experienced and ask them to help you understand how this experience can benefit you.
52.
Jane Dare's Question: We're away from Texas and our 15+lab, Tori, has been vomiting most of her meals. Don't even know if Nome has a vet. What's our first move with it? We have the sets of essences with us, no microbials, the ETS for animals, no EoP?
Machaelle's Answer: Of course Nome has a vet, check out your phone book. That's your first move.
If you have ETS Plus for Animals (it's unclear from above), give the dog a dose after each time she vomits. And test her for essences daily. But first, get her to a vet.
51.
Beth Rees's Question: 1. My dog has liver disease. I'm doing the animal health coning and using animal ETS+. Can I use flower essences for deeper results or do you suggest EoP or both? 2. I am helping my husband in his business. Since it is his practice how can I help him to greater satisfaction and profitability using the SG concepts?
Machaelle's Answer: 1. I suggest both.
2. You can request permission from him to open a soil-less garden for his business. If you have his permission, you continue to work with the soil-less garden with your goal of helping him to "greater satisfaction and profitability."
50.
Jane Dare's Question: Is there a way to bathe in the EoP and have Nature replenish it so that we are not spending an 8oz. bottle of the stuff each week?
Machaelle's Answer: No, you cannot use nature to replenish. Open up a soil-less garden for the purpose of covering these expenses and changing attitude about money. Also, do you know that you're not using an entire 8-oz. bottle for each bath? It's 1/3 cup.
49.
Jane Dare's Question: What does one do when the weather isn't cooperating and we have addressed it in the SLG coning?
Machaelle's Answer: Move.
But seriously, humans messed up the weather pattens so much that there's no predictability on weather. Even nature "throws up its hands."
48.
Hilary's Question: My third question& please forgive my 'satiable curtiosity & When we open an MBP coning we stabilize the electrical system with flower essences, but in SLG conings ETS plus is used to do this. What's the difference?
Machaelle's Answer: It's just part of the charm of setting these processes up with nature. There are simply different steps and that's all there is to it.
47.
Jane Dare's Question: Can activating a gut garden work with soil-less gardens?
Machaelle's Answer: Yes, you can approach a soil-less garden as a gut garden. At some point, you may want to work in a more detailed way and switch over to a regular soil-less garden.
46.
Ellen Schumann's Question: Hi Machaelle and all, Several of my friends and I have been feeling that the main problem we face with the environmental challenges have come from the Earth devas being ignored for so long, and not only ignored, but not even acknowleged as existing. Thank you for giving us a structure or format for working with them instead of ignoring or dominating. I personally can see that my old methods of working in a garden were completely self centered. It is quite a hard task to change my ways, but I am at least beginning to try. I have just checked in to thank everyone.
Machaelle's Answer: You're welcome and good luck!
45.
meredith's Question: Machaelle, This spring I made a copper Genesa crystal for our garden. It looks pretty good but some of the rings are mis-shapened. Is this still good to have in the garden or will the oblong rings distort the energy flow and/or create negativity within the garden? Hope you are enjoying your mint iced tea, I am.
Machaelle's Answer: It doesn't distort the energy flow or create negativity. If you like, you can ask nature if it's still doing the job it's supposed to do. If it's not, try bending the rings back to round.
44.
Elizabeth's Question: We just moved to Boise, ID and sent brief email queries to the 3 addresses on your networking list to see if anyone lives in or near Boise. Two were returned as undeliverable and there was no response from the third. So we thought we'd ask today in hopes someone on the forum lives near Boise and would like to connect with a couple retirees who have been using Perelandra products and procedures since 1990. (We also listed this goal as part of our 'Move" SLG, but so far without results.) Thanks.
Machaelle's Answer: 1990? That's impressive. Kudos to you! The printed Networking list is different from the email list. Try that. Thanks for wanting to participate and network. And good luck!
43.
Hilary's Question: I've had such fun zooming round the scavenger hunt (it taught me that you'd written a 3rd edition of Behaving, so I ordered a copy!) Thanks for your first answer — very helpful. My 2nd relates to flower essence telegraph testing for the Miasms process. What advice can you give for creating the necessary intense focus on a mental/emotional symptom? Should I REALLY get into the negative emotion or thought pattern? How will I know if it's strong enough?
Machaelle's Answer: You're overthinking it. Your focus is simply "the underlying mental/emotional triggers" — you don't have to define that. And, you're already in the negative pattern so don't worry about it. The process is to help you get rid of it.
It may help you to go over the steps of the Miasms Process with the folks on the Question Hot Line. They'll be happy to talk you through it.
42.
Elizabeth's Question: Since we are updating to the DVDs as they become available, the VHS tapes we purchased long ago are no longer needed by us. Is there a program for donating the VHS tapes to people who would like to have them but can't afford them or to an organization?
Machaelle's Answer: We would suggest donating them to your local library. Libraries still appreciate video donations.
41.
Fiona's Question: Love your work. I had a soul reading from a very experienced reader. She said my energy was very different that I am an incarnated deva and I should get in touch with you...?
Machaelle's Answer: I think you need to get another "experienced reader." This one really isn't very helpful to you. I'm not trying to slap you around, but I feel it's important that you know that humans don't "jump the shark" and suddenly become devas of trees. I'm sorry I can't help you.
40.
Katherine Rose's Question: Hi Machaelle - My question has to do with ETS for Humans. I've been under incredible stress and fear lately for a lower back issue that is very painful and seems to be taking months to heal, so I've started to use ETS (and EoP) to calm down and center myself. Sometimes I need the ETS many times a day. Can one overuse it such that it stops becoming effective? I'm reaching for it several times a day sometimes and am concerned that that is too much on an ongoing basis. Thank you!
Machaelle's Answer: You cannot overuse ETS Plus or Essence of Perelandra. No matter how often you use it, it remains fully effective. But I'm suspecting that you might need a little more support as you heal. Consider adding MBP Solutions for Immune, Lymphatic, Nervous and Muscular Systems, taking them twice daily.
Also consider setting up MAP to help you with this. These are the simple solutions I can suggest to you.
39.
Cathy's Question: I volunteer at a local wildlife garden that has a field, pond, woods, and demonstration garden of native plants and wildflowers. We are having trouble with an alien invasive plant, dog-strangling vine, which is gobbling up large parts of the landscape. As one who helps care for this land, is it proper etiquette for me to perform a soil balancing, energy cleansing, etc. to try to return some balance to the area?
Machaelle's Answer: You need to get permission to do that from the person who's in charge (your supervisor). I hear on authority that if you feed this vine a couple of dogs, it'll stop gobbling up your landscape (I can hear the PETA people screaming now . . . I'm just joking people!).
38.
Mary Riley's Question: For the past eight years, I have had a facial spasm (checked out with a neurologist in D.C. and at Johns Hopkins with the solution being to have Botox injections, which I will not do). During this time, I have used a MAP team to try to resolve this issue and I have also used the Microbial Balancing Program. In addition, I take all of the Microbial Balancers every night before bedtime. But, the facial spasm (which started as an eye twitch) continues. Any suggestions?
Machaelle's Answer: I'm suspecting stress is an issue. So, try taking frequent ETS Plus baths (3 or 4 times a week) and Essence of Perelandra baths 1 or 2 times a week. Then, take ETS Plus a couple of times daily to ease stress and see if that works.
Also, I have someone on staff who has facial spasms and she says that sometimes a muscle spasm can indicate the need for a chiropractic adjustment.
37.
Linda Morse's Question: Yikes.......will aim for underthinking questions! New use for EoP.....'focused and clear mind'.
Machaelle's Answer: Good Linda, way to take a hint!!!
36.
Deborah Dole's Question: Sorry, I am concerned I am not getting a positive for the flu essence.
Machaelle's Answer: Things are shaping up to be so serious this season, don't even bother testing, just take it. I'm recommending that everyone take the MBP Seasonal Flu Solution and FSBS+ to strengthen against both seasonal flu and pandemic flu.
35.
Laurie's Question: Hi Machaelle, Last Open House I asked a ? about public speaking and didn't give background info needed. I actually had success with my first round of introductions after taking an ETS+ bath, using EOP, etc. The thing is, the job that is right for my soul involves just a bit of public speaking and this was a skill that I came into the world with, but had something bad happen to me that turned it into something traumatic. So . . . I'm just wondering if there's anything else I can be doing in terms of process to keep this issue from taking so much energy out of me to go where I want/need to go in life? Does that make sense?
Machaelle's Answer: Other than the information I've already given you, I really don't have anything else to say. Just keep at it and good luck! However, I'm juiced up on caffeine and cheesecake so I'm going to go out on limb and say, "You're carrying around a bunch of unnecessary information that isn't helping you at all around this issue."
34.
Ann Vogel's Question: My sister suffered a severe stroke after delivering twins and was in a coma for two and one half months. She is now recovering from her stroke and has incurred brain damage from her incident. Can any of your products assist her brain in a more complete healing. Unfortunately I live in a different state than her so I can't do the flower essences on her on a regular basis, however if she consents - which she is able to make conscious decisions - is there anything I could do for her remotely? Her main issues are confusion in the moment. Her long term memory is excellent and her short term memory is not bad. She is there cognitively. She walks, but with some issues from being in a coma for so long - her muscles froze up because they didn't offer her therapy while she was in a coma. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. She is 42 years old. She had a natural and healthy delivery. Her babies are doing fine. Thank you.
Machaelle's Answer: Send her MBP Solutions for Immune, Lymphatic, Nervous and Muscular. No testing. All she has to do is take them twice daily (the number of drops she needs to take are on each of the labels). The strengthening in these systems will be more gradual than the essences, but she will sense the changes.
Glad to hear the babies are doing fine.
33.
Cathy's Question: I'm getting a puppy in 3 weeks and want its training to be nature-friendly. Would I open a coning with the Deva of dogs and list various training methods? Or should this incorporate a 4-point coning? Would a gut-garden for puppy training work? What are your suggestions on the best way to do this?
Machaelle's Answer: You could set up a soil-less garden for training your dog. You might want to read Cesar Millan's books on puppy training for ideas. Your intention is great, but you need to organize your thoughts better around this. Good luck with the puppy!
32.
barb Klepper's Question: Is it safe for nursing mothers to use the Microbial Balancing Solutions while nursing?
Machaelle's Answer: Absolutely.
31.
Lisa Abram-Nelson's Question: Greetings Machaelle- I'm unclear about the connections made during surrogate testing for essences. I've been connecting to the deva of essences, then my higher self, then testing myself until clear and then adding the new person and connecting with their "electrical system". I've been leaving the connection open with my higher self during this time. Is that right? Is their electrical system different from their higher self? I feel I've been getting good results this way, but would like to understand the process as it was intended. Thanks.
Machaelle's Answer: You don't need to connect to nature, your higher self or the higher self of the person you're testing in order to do a simple surrogate essences test. After clearing yourself, you simply connect to their electrical system by having them touch you with their hand or foot, testing to confirm that you're connected, and then doing the surrogate essences test.
30.
Lori's Question: Where could I order some bear fat? ROFLMAO. Just Kidding. Thank you for your advice. I'll try it out.
Machaelle's Answer: Just Google "Bear-Fat-R-Us!" They sell it by the pint, the quart, the gallon and the 50-gallon drum sizes. And thanks, you gave me a laugh too.
29.
Theresa's Question: I share office space with the guy managing the construction of the new public golf course in our town. If I stick my head in his office and ask his permission to shift flower essences to his golf course he's likely to tell me to go for it without ever looking up from the irrigation computer. Am I ethically obligated to tell him that his worst employees might quit but that better applicants will show up?
Machaelle's Answer: No, you don't have to tell him he might have an employee shift. It may not happen. So, let's not disturb him as he's staring at the irrigation computer. But if there is an employee shift and he looks at you and says, "What the hell happened?" You can say, "Oh, well, that's because of ..." and explain it to him at that point. But to keep him from having a meltdown, you can wait until the new, better people start showing up and then tell him what's going on. Try not to scare him.
28.
Maureen Shepard's Question: Can cats/dogs really "catch" H1N1? How does taking FSBS+ help them?
Machaelle's Answer: I haven't heard about any instances of dogs and cats catching H1N1 yet. But in a grand stroke of irony, infected humans are giving pigs H1N1 or swine flu. So, I beg you, for the sake of all pigs in the world, stop sneezing on them! Seriously, they just had an outbreak of pigs getting swine flu from humans in Australia and it has the scientists very concerned. Dogs and cats were getting bird flu and that's why we recommended that you administer FSBS+ to your animals. If you want to continue giving them FSBS+ even in light of swine flu, go ahead. It'll help them resist infection should H1N1 decide they like dogs and cats in the future.
27.
Rose's Question: Question: Any suggestions for how individuals can support our President in addition to how we feel moved to act physically in the world? And a health care system -- i.e., can we make an SLG for such because we are part of this country?
Machaelle's Answer: This is where the Cottage comes in handy. The overall support for any government's movement forward comes from the Cottage and I happen to know that includes Obama's health care proposals.
Personally, we can take Essence of Perelandra (EoP) daily while focusing on the following: How we are interfacing with the news, craziness and information around the health care system process that is currently going on. And, how we personally are responding in support of this process.
At a certain point, if we are going to prevent the insurance companies from killing any chance of health care in the United States, we are going to need to write to each of our Congresspeople and Senators and Governors in support of the plan to let them know there are more than just lobbyists interested in health care.
I am currently waiting for "the right time" to send all of you an EarthSave and kick you in to action and tell you, "Now is the time to start writing." I'm trying to wait for the moment when that actually would be best effective. In the mean time, it's important that all of us reach out and explain what the health care program will give us all and counter the fears and misinformation that is already out there. For example, Obama really isn't putting together teams of people to go out and kill all the old people. That's not a joke. That's what the opposition is using to scare people. So right away, use the next couple of weeks to diffuse the misinformation and fears. And I'll be in touch with everyone shortly about unleashing you on an email campaign. I'm glad you asked the question. This has been very much on my mind and it gave me a chance to let everybody know what I'm thinking.
26.
cris's Question: Is there a benefit to doing a generic application of EOP to SLGs or energy processes?
Machaelle's Answer: If your question is: "Is it beneficial to shift EoP before you do any of the energy processes or open your SLG coning?" The answer is: Yes. It'll smooth out the energy processes themselves and help adjust the coning.
25.
Rose's Question: Is the land/home clearing you gave for the Avian flu (which we repeated 3 times) applicable to the H1N1 flu or however it mutates? If we did it when you first put it out is it advised to repeat the sequence again?
Machaelle's Answer: It's been such a long time, I recommend you repeat the sequence again. It won't hurt.
Thanks for bringing this up and reminding me that we need to tell others to repeat this sequence.
24.
Helena's Question: Hello and thanks for this Open House. English is not my mothertongue, so excuses for mistakes. I am starting with MAP and I am wondering if, where and how guardian angels fit in during a coning as you also advice to include your higher self. It gets a little crowded, but I am convinced they work along the same line. Is there a connection and/or a working order between devas and angels? Thank you for giving a stretch to our minds and widening our frame of thinking. It is sometimes almost too much to comprehend, but gradually it comes home to me. Helena
Machaelle's Answer: Geez, Helena, I never would have known this wasn't your mothertongue. And boy, you know punctuation better than the average American! So many people have different interpretations of "angels," that I have found it easier and more clear to use only the word "deva" when referring to that aspect of nature intelligence. The MAP coning is self-contained. You don't need to include anything else in that coning in order for MAP to work properly. I would suggest that you just let MAP do its job, trusting that at some point you'll be able to answer your own questions about devas and angels. Kudos to you for being willing to stretch your mind and widen your frame of thinking!
23.
Diane's Question: Regarding your answer to question 1: Yes indeed, your products and processes definitely helped. I have been very sensitive to viruses my whole life AND have had a full-time hospital job for decades. Not a good combination, was sick many times a year. Started Chinese herbs a few years back. then added MAP & MBP Solutions about a year ago on the advice of my herbalist. Difference is like day and night... Sick maybe once a year now, and don't get the lingering coughs etc. Thanks again...
Machaelle's Answer: Fantastic! And you're welcome!
22.
norma slater's Question: Hi-I'm new to SLG & have a question. It concerns a relative who`s in deep trouble with alcohol & substances, self-destructive,depressed. Appears hopeless. Can I do a Project on him & his problems, even tho he`s not nearby or available? Machaelle, you`ve opened up a new world for me. Thanks!
Machaelle's Answer: Hey, Hi! back to you. The answer to your questions: No. But if he's open to this kind of work, you can talk to him about working with MAP for his problems. This way, he'll be in control of using his own tools. But you can definitely work with the Perelandra tools to help you personally deal with the issue.
21.
Eve's Question: I understand the MAP teams will not override a person's timing but will only work on issues one is ready to address. Is it appropriate to ask the team to work on "underlying cause x" to indicate that one is ready to heal but unable to verbalize all the issues that may cause the discomfort? What are the "limits" of MAP besides broken bones that need to be physically set at the hospital? I have been in MAP for 2 years, done flower essence follow-ups for 1 year as well as MBP telegraph testing charts for 7 months but instead of improving, my situation ("osteoarthritis") has worsened. I am due for surgery now and reconciled with it but nevertheless feel confused why I am unable to improve with the processes.
Machaelle's Answer: Okay, Eve, I understand your frustration. And your frustration is not uncommon. We are our own limitation as far as the MAP teams are concerned. Something from you is acting like a block. Step back, breathe, and change your focus with your MAP team. Tell them you want to work on whatever blocks exist from you around this work and focus your essence testing on this issue.
Be sure to open MAP for the time you are in surgery and in hospital so that they can help you with the surgical process.
The only other thing I can think of is that you may need to change some elements in your lifestyle that your MAP team gives you hints about as you move through your day and you're resisting or refusing to make those changes. Think about any intuitive hits you keep getting over and over that might fall in this category of resistance and reconsider doing them.
Try these things. If you're still running into a wall, call us on the Question Hot Line and we'll see if we can help identify the blocks better.
Also, try taking Essence of Perelandra (EoP) twice daily to assist you with your osteoarthritis and any blocks you might have about the MAP work. When taking EoP focus on these two issues.

Lauri Zarin's Question: I am a hero to many bugs, but can't get over my antagonistic relationship with mosquitoes. Please advise.
Machaelle's Answer: This one's easy! Google "mosquitoes" and learn about how they benefit us and how they benefit wildlife. It helped me to get over my antagonistic feelings brought on by a severe and serious allergy to poison ivy by learning how many animals in nature depend on poison ivy berries for a food source. So find out the good stuff about mosquitoes. Try to stay away from the section on infectious diseases.

Eve's Question: First of all my heart-felt thanks to you and Perelandra for all the wonderful work you bring to the world. I am wondering how much the gardener's state of health influences the garden's well-being? I use the whole set of flower essences and have noticed that the garden frequently requires the same essences I do (after clearing myself). This may be a wrong assumption, but how can I work with nature so that the garden supports my health with strong vegetables rather than what appears it reflecting my fluctuating, convalescing self? The troubleshooting processes have brought amazing results (i.e. after insect triangulations larvae crawled out of the pots and lice infestations disappeared) but the garden is slow and keeps going out of kilter.
Machaelle's Answer: First of all, your garden is working in partnership with you as you move through your "convalescence." Nature "absorbs" a whole host of what we would call negative or difficult energy. This nature service keeps us from blowing ourselves up. So it may be critical to your convalescence that your garden continue to serve you in this way. You, on the other hand, can serve your garden by continuing to apply any troubleshooting processes that are needed so that your garden doesn't become a sink-hole for whatever you're moving through. So plan to do the troubleshooting processes on a regular basis and that should keep the garden from going out of kilter.

Lauri Zarin's Question: I am dealing with overabundance of rats in barn, chick coop and house. Tried Workbook II energy processes. Seeing fewer but more rats than we are comfortable with. Please advise -- many thanks!!!
Machaelle's Answer: Lauri, just exactly what is a "comfortable number" of rats? I would have gone for zero. But they say rats are very intelligent, you might try training them for a circus act and making them earn their keep!
Since you're using Workbook II , I would suggest doing a new troubleshooting process. If you've gotten some results from your initial work, you have to consider the possibility of variables changing just enough from when you did the original troubleshooting process that it would require a refined approach in order to finish the work.

Betsy Spannbauer's Question: Hi, Machaelle! Took a wicked flip on the wet porch yesterday with a sound hit! Have no bruise or achy spot. Also avoided any stings from a solid grip on hidden nettles while weeding! I'm sure my daily protection with AAM* is responsible! MAP sessions have been amazing and I thank you for all you do!! The energy field is much more powerful lately! Any particular reason for that??
Machaelle's Answer: I have no idea. But since this seems to be the theme for the day, don't bother asking this question, and don't look your gift horse in the mouth.
I would suggest you might consider wearing an inflatable suit since, like me, you sound like a bit of a clutz. So all I can say is happy landing and good luck.
* "AAM" is not a Perelandra program or process.

Shirley's Question: Is there anything in your bag of tricks to prevent motion sickness before it hits? I'm going on a 3 hr. ferry ride from ME to Nova Scotia. Can I telegraph test w/ essences into the future?
Machaelle's Answer: You don't have to telegraph essences into the future for this. You just need to do a telegraph test for your motion sickness, make a solution bottle and take it with you. Another item in my bag of tricks — wrist bands for motion sickness!

Lenise's Question: I am in partnership with two other people, launching a service website. We're located in three different states, so our meetings are telephone conference calls. Can we open a SLG coning for our tele-conferences even though we are not physically in the same room together?
Machaelle's Answer: Yes. You may not be physically in the same room, but you have created an "electronic room" in which you are all "sitting." So go ahead and open the SLG coning for the teleconference.

meredith's Question: During most conings I initiate, I check for balancing with the essences. I end up with taking over 10 to 15 each time. You mentioned in your writings this may be a sign of a chiropractic need, which I've addressed. Is this an issue to correct? And do I check for the Rose II and Soul Ray essences too during conings? I hope I'm not asking too many questions. :- )?
Machaelle's Answer: Because of your testing results, it looks like you need to include all 5 sets of the Perelandra Essences. That would include Rose II and Soul Ray. Also, take a dose of Essence of Perelandra prior to opening a coning. This may reduce the number of essences you need. I think this will help smooth things out for you.

Linda Morse's Question: Hi Machaelle and team! Thank you for the Open House today! I love you guys!!! Q: The other day I opened a coning for a real estate SLG to balance and stabilize an ad with pictures of ranches we have listed going to publication. I asked whether it needed balancing and got a YES. Asked should I use a simple ETS Plus for SLG or a whole troubleshooting and got a NO...asked again and got a NO. Then got the hit to ask if it needed anything from Workbook II and got YES. It ended up needing an Energy Cleansing and Soil B/S. The only thing I could figure is that maybe the properties themselves needed this work for this ad to be B/S. Is this an appropriate use or do I need to consider a calibration on my muscle testing? P.S. Thank you also for fixing the web site so while typing my Q and page gets refreshed, all typing is no longer lost....YIPPPEEE! xoxoxoxo
Machaelle's Answer: Hey Linda! The cat's out of the bag and a number of people here today know you. They tell me you have a tendency to overthink your questions. I suspect that's where your problem is. You're not keeping your mind focused and clear. They tell me here that when you are asking questions, you "get there" but it is often more complex than it needs to be. I'm suspecting that's what we're dealing with here. So, yes — re-calibrate your muscle testing and walk around the room a little bit, shake out your hands and arms, and sit down again to ask your questions.

Lori's Question: This question is regarding problems with my teeth. For me, this is The Year Of Dental Problems. I started having toothaches, and being financially challenged at this time, I tried to avoid going to the dentist by working with MAP instead. I had several sessions over 2 or 3 weeks, but it didn't seem to help. I ended up having 3 root canals. My question is, should I have been able to get more help from my MAP team in curing the infections, or is this unrealistic? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I know how you hate that. :-)
Machaelle's Answer: I suspect you needed more time for the MAP work to take hold. And you waited too long to start MAP so you ran out of the time the MAP processes needed. Generally, when a Perelandra program or process "didn't take," it's because there wasn't enough time. This situation was too immediately critical. And a more traditional, direct approach was required. You can come through the root canal procedures more quickly by continuing to use MAP and ETS Plus for Humans.
To pay for all the root canal work, you might want to start a soil-less and get help with that.

Polly MacNicol's Question: My cockroach-human relations are poor. When I did energy balancing of the apt, I got black widows. (I laughed out loud.) Yes, I need to be tidier with the crumbs and dishes. But maybe I'm missing something here. I'd love them to live OUTSIDE but haven't succeeded in assisting them to migrate there. Any ideas?
Machaelle's Answer: It's possible that the black widows were brought in to eat the cockroaches, so stop looking a gift horse in the mouth! And since you suspect you need to be tidier with the crumbs and dishes, maybe that's the key. Do that and see how far you get.

Mary Breen's Question: Namaste Machaelle.... I have noticed a HUGE dropoff in my positive essence testings since taking the EOP regularly. (MBP Solutions not included.) Have you heard this from others and is it common? What a wonder EOP is! Thank you, your work is Divine.
Machaelle's Answer: We've had a number of people say that EoP is reducing the number of essences they're having to take. Glad to hear you're having similar results.

Lori's Question: Everything bites me. I'm delicious. And I react strongly to bites. A flea will jump off a dog or cat, to me, because I taste better. Flies, gnats, ants, mosquitoes, spiders, they love to see me coming. I hide in my house, yet get bit there too. (I live on the Gulf Coast). Can I make some kind of deal with the bugs? Will I have to sell my soul? What can I do?
Machaelle's Answer: Okay Lori. First, if you and I ever go to the same concert together, would you please tell me who you are so I don't sit next to you. You're way too active!
A lot of people have success "making deals" with nature about situations like this. They open a nature coning, explain what is acceptable and what isn't acceptable. In your case, it would be that the insects are to leave you alone. While in the coning, tell nature that you're open to any insight or information that you need in order to change your body environment and your home environment that would support the "deal" you're making. If you want to take it further, work with nature around this issue using the processes in the two Perelandra Garden Workbooks.
I think the American Indians solved this problem by rubbing bear fat all over their bodies. You could always try that!

meredith's Question: I am an artist. I have been working on co-creating paintings out doors in my garden. Is it a good idea to call a coning for this work while painting? and if so what Deva? and should the White Brotherhood be in on it?
Machaelle's Answer: Meredith, this is a soil-less garden. If you want to learn about working with nature in a soil-less garden for a project such as this, start here:
Perelandra Soil-less Garden Companion &
Working with Nature in Soil-less Gardens.

Hilary's Question: Machaelle, thank you for your astonishing work — the more I engage with it the more profound it gets. I'm using the Organizing Process for the first time and got two groups of symptoms each requiring two processes for Step One. In what order should I complete these processes?
Machaelle's Answer: If the two symptom groups tested to be addressed at the same time, then yes, you would start Item 1 of Step 1 on each Organizing Chart at the same time. If you really want to be picky, you could test which item to do first within the Organizing Process Coning.

Barbara's Question: Ok I finished my doctorate thank you to my teams support. I learned yesterday that I have to take 3 more classes in order to be eligible to take the NYS exam for the license. I am wiped but want to continue and keep my energy up-is this a soilless garden? my brain is mush.
Machaelle's Answer: Sure this can be a soil-less garden. A short weekend vacation can help, too. Refresh your mind, give you back your energy. And make sure you're eating the proper diet.

libby's Question: How can I deal with chigger infestation in my organic home garden? HELP!
Machaelle's Answer: I just talked to Jeannette and she told me about the conversation that she's just had with you on this on the Question Hot Line.
Keep your grass around the garden as short as possible and well-mowed. Go out into the garden to pick a tomato or get other vegetables when the grass is dry. Of course, taking daily doses of MBP Solutions Immune and Lymphatic will help strengthen you. If it's a particularly bad infestation — go into the garden, do all your work, come out, take a shower right away and put clean clothes on. We find that the chiggers do the most damage not when we're in the grass but when we're sitting around in "infested clothing" for hours after.

Otis Woodard's Question: Hi Machaelle. Hope you and your team are well. :) What is the most important thing you've learned about leadership from your work at the Cottage level that leaders in general need to know to make the shift from Piscean to Aquarian? What do you think is the best biography on Eisenhower? With warm regards, Otis
Machaelle's Answer: Hey, Otis! Good to hear from you. The thing that I've learned about leadership from the Cottage is the importance of listening.
Stephen Ambrose is the "Eisenhower scholar" and he has the added benefit of having spoken with Eisenhower a number of times. He has a 2-volume biography on Eisenhower that's pretty good. Thanks for checking in Otis.

meredith's Question: I had been pulling my hair out compulsively for 30 yrs. I did my 1st calibration session in March for this and I stopped feeling the compulsion for 2 months, then slowly I started up again. I've done more sessions but they have not impacted me as the 1st. Any suggestions? Thanks for sharing all your work and research with us, Machaelle
Machaelle's Answer: I suggest that you get set up in MAP and describe to your team what this issue is and do a Calibration within the MAP session. The fact that this has come back on you indicates that there is more going on that the MAP teams are designed to help with. But obviously Calibration is something that is helpful for this situation, so you would get the added benefit of doing Calibration within MAP.

Lenise's Question: Thanks for this second virtual open house! I created a SLG for a novel that I am writing. Can I open a coning while writing the novel and just ask for inspiration and encouragement during that coning session, or do I have to ask specific questions about the novel during the coning ? In addition, can I open a conning in a public space ? For example I like writing at my favorite bookstore. Can I have a coning open while writing at the bookstore?
Machaelle's Answer: Yes to all of your questions. An open coning doesn't affect anyone else in public. But I want to caution you to be careful about the length of time you're in an open coning. It could drain you in the beginning. Like an exercise, you may need to build up to having a coning open all afternoon or all day.

Diane's Question: Machaelle- Thanks so much for all that you and Perelandra do! The sound effects on the Frog-o-Rama gave me a smile. Question: I had the flu two weeks ago.. 95% chance it was the new H1N1 (judging from weekly e-mail update from our county public health about what was circulating then). Should I still keep taking FSBS+ twice a day?
Machaelle's Answer: Yes, because we don't know as of now if the virus is going to mutate and come back and hit you again. Congratulations — for the most part you should be immune.
And hopefully FSBS+ made your trip through H1N1 easier because it's designed to assist the process as well as help an individual ward of H1N1.
