Some time this year my son, nine years old, had eaten too much bacon at a friend’s house and by the time he came home was throwing up and feeling quite lousy. In addition, he was upset because he wasn't able to have a sleepover with his friend that night.

I offered to do a coning with him, which we had done many times before. He agreed, lay down on the couch and relaxed. I opened up a MAP coning and when I invited his MAP team into the coning, he all of a sudden laughed out and said, "There are four big lizards in a Red Cross van coming to rescue me!"

We both laughed very hard, which made him feel a lot better. From that moment on, he felt it was okay just to stay at home and be sick for the day.
