And a warning.

Who couldn't use a little hope right now? This clip from a National Geographic series shows beautifully how nature can recover from human destruction — if humans get out of the way and begin to address the impact of their actions.

It also shows how much devastation we humans can cause in very little time, while only thinking of the short-term economic gain and dismissing long-term sustainability. The warning is that even with no humans living there, human-driven climate change now threatens the wildlife and biodiversity of South Georgia Island.

Watch the stunning 9-minute video for hope and motivation.
