Gift Wrap
It's part of the gift.

A little something to think about before your weekend holiday shopping.

It's Friday night and the end of the work week for many of you. As you turn your attention to holiday and gift-giving plans, and before you head out to do your shopping, we would like to remind you of something. It's such a "little" thing, but like all of those little things, it adds up. We're talking about gift wrapping.

It would be so easy to buy that pretty and inexpensive roll of foil-laden gift wrap that's right there next to the checkout counter. It's a single-use quick fix. You deserve better than that. The person receiving your gift deserves better than that. The planet deserves better than that!

There are creative, ecologically-minded folks coming up with wonderful gift-wrapping options that will become part of the gift you're giving, rather than just pretty trash. Here are some great websites and articles we've found:

More Joy,
Less Waste

We're avoiding single-use and non-recyclable gift wrap this year!

In our last Environment Series post, we encouraged everyone to rethink your gift wrapping choices. Then we looked at our gift-wrapping options here at Perelandra and decided to take our own advice! This year, we're repurposing out-of-date printed Perelandra material that's been awaiting a turn in the shredder and using it as gift wrap. We're happy to gift wrap any item(s) in your order free of charge. We promise it will look pretty and is guaranteed to intrigue your gift recipient.

"It felt good to do the EoP Biodiversity Process. As I look back, it feels like it was the most important thing I did that day. Thank you, Machaelle, for this process and the opportunity to join hands with nature." Ω

"As I'm doing the Biodiversity Process, I feel part of a powerful community. Today it hit me with quiet power that we are creating something like a root system or a web with this process, connecting dots." Ω

"How about allowing nature — the intelligence inherent in that nature — to join us in equal partnership to give us the input we need to make new decisions and live in a new ways that have a strong, positive impact on our lives and our health, as well as the planet?" — Machaelle Wright, Celebrating the Power of the Individual
